Area:

Bani Suef’s area attains 10954 k/m 2 and it represented .7% from the whole area of Egypt.

Population:

The number attained by the governorate is according to the last enumeration of population in 1996 was (1.8590214) person .It appears 3% from the total of Egypt population, but the estimate (virtual) enumeration in the first of Joinery 2003 attained (2161754) person .

The governorate logo:

In the middle of the logo, there is the picture of Maydom pyramid, which represent the civilization originality of Beni Suef region, which belongs to the pharaonic family 2670 B.C, as a sign to the past, as a sign to present we found the ear, represents the agriculture activity of the governorate, also the chimney represents the industrial activity of the governorate . Now, it’s the sign of future, Nile waves in the bottom of the logo stand to Beni Suef Bridge, which disjoints between the two banks of the governorate. By that the logo achieves the representation of all past, present and future.

Administration center:

Beni Suef governorate consist 7 administrations centers and 225 village.

The governorate national feast :

Beni Suef governorate celebrates its national feast in the 15 th of Marc every year. This day is an immortal day in its national history as particularly and as a common to the national Egyptian history .In this day, Beni Suef’s people have revolted with the first spark (step) of 1919 revolution which was leaded by the leader Sad Zaghlool, who attached the aptitude court and rejected the English employs, that caused the escaping of the English Judie, after that, those people destroyed the government office, and attacked the police office , so the English people was obligated to be gathered and protected with there houses , at the same time , the people was rounding in the city and claiming (exclaim) to fall the invasion (with invasion falling ) that aroused the English people ,so they shoot fire the people ,the result was many martyrs .
